The UA Equestrian Hunt Seat Team won Championship (High Point Team) this Saturday, March 3, in a record breaking attendance at their home IHSA meet in Tuscaloosa, which was the last regular meet for the season. The results from the meet are below.
The Hunt Seat Team proudly ended the season with Reserve High Point Team (2nd place) in our IHSA Region.
On Sunday, March 4, the UA Equestrian Hunt Seat Team had the following results from the Regional competition hosted in Tuscaloosa with 5 of our team members advancing to Zone competition in April 2018.

Captain Lindsey Cayce swept the Open Division and qualified for Zones in Open Flat and Open Fences with 1st place finishes, Madelyn Malone qualified for Zones in Intermediate Fences with a 1st place finish, Kasey Emm qualified for Zones in Novice Fences with a 2nd place finish, Morgan Tibble qualified for Zones in Walk-Trot-Canter with a 1st place finish, and Abdullah Alibrahim qualified for Zones in Walk-Trot with a 1st place.
Overall Team and Rider Placings for Season:
Alabama’s Hunt Seat Team ended the season with Reserve High Point Team and Captain Lindsey Cayce received Reserve High Point Rider for our Region! Alabama’s Western Team ended the season with a 4th place finish.
